Sims 4 Take First Slice
  1. Sims 4 Take First Slice Nasıl

I would like to begin by saying that Sims 4 is really pretty good. I have played for about 12 hours or so now. Having a great time. I think that all of the comments, mostly on other sites, bagging the game, were made by people that haven't played the game. Yada yada.So on to the topic of weddings. My hero, Chad Brick, had been playing the field shamelessly when Bella Goth appeared on the street. She is just magnificent. Chad was immediately smitten and began the long, and I do mean long, quest to seduce her.

Somewhere along the way he fell in love Eventually he started to make some ground. (she is good and family oriented). Finally he won her, and Bella kicked Mortimer to the curb and invited Chad to move in.I won't go into the details of the events that followed. Needless to say the wardrobe was ransacked for it's most appealing items and all skilling ground to a virtual halt. Finally she won, and Chad proposed. A lovely sceneThen I clicked the plan wedding.

This is where the disaster began. The wedding happens immediately after you finish planning it. The purpose of this post is to let you know to be prepared. You will need a cake, in your inventory (there is an option to convert a regular cake to a wedding cake).

My sims just got married, and the first slice is all that's left to do, I have a cake and it has the wedding topper but the 'take a piece' option is grayed out. It says I have to wait till the newlyweds take the first slice but I'm using the newlyweds. Any help os appreciated.

Sadly we were not prepared and had no cake. Goodbye gold event. Fortunately the bride gets a lovely white dress and the groom a tux. When the loading screen hit, I was terrified that poor Bella would be married in the next to nothing she was wearing when I began the event. My second mistake was to choose the Museum as the location. Seemed like a good choice at the time. The problem, one bathroom.

First

There are a number of tasks to fulfil prior to the wedding. One of them is to have your sims drink.

I think you see where this is going. I sent poor Bella off to do her business, Chad was trying to go to work. Cassandra had already left for work while I was busy trying to get them all to eat. Bella was in a queue to use the bathroom.

It was a disaster. You can imagine what happened.Wedding was delayed for an extended time while she washed her hands repeatedly trying to get her hygiene above zero. Everyone was fatigued. Finally I just had to click 'take the vows'.

By the time I got them home they were too tired for the wedding night woohoo. So my advice is, plan carefully. Make sure you have a cake.

Make sure all your principles are at maximum everything. Have your wedding in a venue that has full bathroom facilities, and more than one of them. Make sure your principles aren't going to work, quit your jobs if necessary. Then click plan wedding.Oh the drama.Sims 4 is awesome. I semi-planned the wedding I had my sims have, and I picked the museum as a venue.

Beforehand I only had the groom in the household, so his outfit was fine. Luckily, the formal wear on everyone at the party looked all right. My sim only had $1500 to start with at the time of the wedding, and the wedding at the museum in Willow Creek was $1000.I didn't have a cake or an arch or anything, so I had to buy the arch on the spot. I didn't have any other food, either.Luckily, there was a bar at the venue, so I could have the groom make drinks and get that part of the achievement. (Note that there is also a piano at the museum, so you don't have to buy one.)For so little planning, I was amazed I got the party up to silver, which ended with me getting a couple of centerpiece decor pieces in my inventory. Didn't get the gold-level wedding oven, though. What got me was that the spouse's name didn't change, nor did they move in after the wedding. I had to use the 'ask to move in' social afterward. At least when they move in, though, you get the full value of their property if you sell the furniture, which is a nice change from The Sims 3's version where you get a randomly small amount, even if that sim owned a house of his or her own.

How I wish I'd read this thread before I married my sims! It all happened so fast that it was a national disaster! She got married in scruffy shorts and a tank top, he got married in his athletic gear, all green fog and stinky armpits. He also had a bladder failure as I was to scared to let him 'go' incase the wedding didn't happen, and I thought he'd be ok.Then I tried to quit without saving as I'm a control freak and I wanted a nice wedding, and the auto-save kicked in and so that was that. What a wedding The emotions just add to the general chaos with both of them hiding from the world together in the same bed on their wedding night. LolFunny thing is, this is what I love about The Sims, it just never quite happens as you expect it to. I started preparations before reading this discussion. After reading disco's adventure, I modified things, and ended up with a gold medal!I went to Manage Worlds, and chose the Oakenstead residence in Willow Creek.

I changed the lot type to Museum, though I think Park would also work. I added the Wedding Styled Room from the build menu, and a bar. The property already has a piano for the musician. I just had to add one painting and one sculpture for it to meet the requirement for a museum. Because it's in manage worlds, it didn't cost me a thing.Following disco's advice I baked a cake and placed it in the inventory. Then, I had the bride and groom and guests travel together to Oakenstead. On arrival, Zoe (bride) clicked on the wedding arch and chose plan wedding event (or something like that ) Set the cake on a table, give it a wedding topper, and then click on the arch again and choose 'Marry sim'.I hired a caterer, but he didn't cook anything.

Take

There was a full kitchen and a grill. I'm not sure what item I needed to get him to make food. Does anyone know? I didn't plan for my wedding at all. I had my wedding in the Oasis Springs park.

One thing I noticed is that as soon as you get there you can enter build mode and add all the things that you need. I had hired a caterer, entertainer, and a mixologist so there was a little pop up notification that told me I needed counters, fridge, oven, piano, and bar ect. For the wedding. I went into build mode and added all these things to the lot. One thing to note is that entering build mode from a community lot allows you to buy things with infinite funds. Since you are editing a community lot it doesn't actually take money out of your household funds. By adding everything I needed, I easily got a gold medal for my wedding.Another point about the wedding cake.

My caterer made a cake first thing using the oven and fridge I placed on the lot.I still haven't checked back at the park to see if the items I added during the wedding stayed there. Dulcea, you are absolutely right.

Looks like most of my previous post was either partly or fully wrong. I didn't realize that having it in the park meant not spending family ac Thanks for setting the record straight!Given that the cost is the same to hold the party at home or in the park, it makes more sense to do it in the park where the cost of items (arch, bar, piano, refrigerator, oven and countertop) is essentially nil. The only reason I can see now to hold it at home is if you already had all those items AND active lot sims to staff them instead of relying on hired help. I must have tried 5 or six times to get gold at home and just couldn't get past the task of having guests watch the wedding. They were always too busy inside the house to come outside and watch!

When I tried it again at the park I was able to get gold without too much trouble. I believe Mike and Katrina were as relieved as I was to get out of that darn cycle.Maybe I'm micromanaging the whole operation too much.Anyway, here are the goals for getting gold:Main Goal: Get Married!Chat with guests for 2 hoursHave 3 drinksEat 4 servings of foodHave guests watch the ceremonyHave the betrothed kissTake the first sliceI found it much easier to get the drinks/food out of the way after I'd had Katrina move in with Mike prior to the ceremony.

That way I could use both of them and cover 2/3 of the drink goal and 2/4 food of the food goal.Pick the right day! Sunday was the only day that both Mike and Katrina had off from work. I wonder if perhaps all jobs get Sunday off?

I made sure they were both about as maxed in their needs as possible before going to bed on Saturday night.Plan The Wedding as early in the day as possible, so you have plenty of time in case guests are inexplicably slow. Even though I managed to earn a gold wedding my first time out, there were several things that could have gone better with a bit of advance planning.Like others have said, it's best if bride and groom already live together, and you host the wedding on a day they both have off. I started the wedding in the morning, as soon as all need bars were full. And still. The caterer didn't manage to cook a single thing- just left unmixed cake bowls and plates of food in progress. Good thing I already had 2 party platters of food in the fridge from leveling. I put them in separate areas so pathing wasn't an issue. The tiered cake I made in advance.spoiled. as soon as I took it out of the fridge- even though it was supposed to be good for another 20 hours.

As soon as I realized the cake had gone bad, I had the groom greet guests while the bride whipped up another tiered cake and placed a wedding topper. Even if you don't have level 5 gourmet cooking for the tiered cake, you can bake a white/chocolate cake at level 1, strawberry at level 4, blue confetti at level 6.For some reason the bar needed to be cleaned as soon as the mixologist made a round for the party, and neither bride nor groom were able to get in there and clean it. The wedding party didn't last long enough for anyone to get sick from the dirty bar. (can they get sick in sims 4?)The wedding arch does NOT put your couple into wedding attire, so before the wedding use a dresser to create formal wedding outfits and save them as formal 2.

Then right before you start the wedding event, change them into the outfits you want them to wear. And, uh oops, the musician will not provide his own instrument, so it's a good thing I already had speakers playing music.I wasn't sure if the guests would watch the ceremony without chairs, so thankfully you are able to go into build/buy mode after the event begins and toss a few chairs in the backyard next to the wedding arch. For some reason, everyone congregated in the bedroom by the laptop, so when it was time for the ceremony I just used a sledgehammer on the outside wall to eliminate pathing issues and get everyone there in time. Once you start the wedding with the arch, they will all make their way over to witness. For a cute 'wedding picture' you can take selfies at the arch.In addition to planning the wedding, next time I will also hire a maid for the day, to clean up all the party mess. I was lucky enough to get gold on my first try.

I really like the fact that you can add all of the items at the park when you plan the party. The bartender was great, the caterer made the cake right off and then made a couple of other things and a lot of people were there and most sat down during the ceremony.

Towards the end, the bride sat on a bench and fell asleep, which I found quite amusing that they can nap while sitting, lol. All in all, it was a good wedding. Once they got to the park, everyone changed into their wedding attire. I downloaded a church venue from the Gallery that had the arch downstairs in the chapel and the reception hall on the second floor.

It was originally set up as a library but it wouldn't show up in the venue list when I planned a social event, so I switched it to a night club. It just needed a stereo and 3 barstools to make it a night club.It was amazing. After my Sims got married at the arch, everyone went upstairs and chatted, drank at the bar and danced by the stereo.

Since it was set up as a nightclub, Sims who weren't invited were there anyways. There were probably about 15 Sims at the lot. It was a lot of fun to watch my Sims have a good time at their own wedding.I put together a quick album of screen shots from the wedding. Just a question with wedding venues.

I decided to build one myself, with an outdoor gazebo and arch for the actual wedding ceremony, then I made a reception hall with a bar and full kitchen etc. What lot type should I set it at? At the moment I just made it 'generic' but I noticed the mailbox stays there. It's in my sims neighborhood, so if I set it as park, I will see sims gathering there and using the facilities, won't I? It would be nice to set a lot as 'event only' so it's never used except for parties etc. I don't want random sims crashing my wedding.

Just so you guys know, if you plan to have your wedding at home, there is an actual pre-made room in build mode for your wedding at home. So go into Build Mode, then select the pre-made rooms option, and click on 'Outdoors' (the grill icon). It is the first option in the rooms there. You can place it right in your backyard (hopefully you have enough room!) and get your Sims married right at home. Or you can go to another lot (making sure there is enough room of course) and go into build mode and place it there.Hope this helps!
